New International Chapter - Serbia and the Republic of Srpska In March, Serbia and the Republic of Srpska became ACC's 34th International Chapter, and the first regional ACC International Chapter in formation. Milan Nedeljkovic, MD, FACC, past president of the Cardiology Society of Serbia, and Dusko Vulic, MD, FACC, president of the Society of Cardiology of the Republic of Srpska, first approached the ACC about establishing a regional International Chapter in 2014. With their vision and leadership, the Chapter became a reality one year later, and Nedeljkovic has been elected to serve as the inaugural Chapter Governor. ACC Past President William A. Zoghbi, MD, MACC, will be attending the 20th National Cardiology Congress of the Cardiology Society of Serbia in Nis this October where the Chapter will hold a reception and will officially be launched. A 'PINNACLE' Presence in Argentina In March, the College announced an ACCF-SAC PINNACLE partnership with the Sociedad Argentina de Cardiología. The purpose of this partnership is to assist in the establishment of a registry network in Argentina that is aligned with the ACC's PINNACLE Registry. With the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, Argentina has become the third country outside of the U.S. to implement the PINNACLE Registry, following in the footsteps of India and Brazil. These partnerships build a global community of cardiovascular professionals, committed to providing the highest cardiovascular care and improving patient outcomes. In April, the College held a live-stream interactive ACC.15 highlights webinar from its headquarters in Washington, DC, that was broadcast in Beijing, China. The broadcast reached 300 physicians who plan to share this latest science with their colleagues located throughout China. A series of 15 additional webinars in 15 cities across China will further disseminate the ACC.15 highlights to about 600 additional physicians. The program is part of the College's efforts to improve population health in China through grassroots efforts and knowledge sharing. The Leadership Team of the Central America Consortium - the first ACC Chapter in Central America - received the ACC International Chapter Recognition Award at ACC.15.
