John Bethune into an important Georgian cottage later lived in by the explorer-map maker David Thompson. Carmen House Museum 5895 Co. Rd 1 Carmen Rd, Iroquois 613-543-3556 Jun-Labour Day: 10am-5pm This 200-year-old Georgian lime stone cottage was built shortly after the War of 1812 by the son of a Palatine Loyalist and has been restored to its original form. Costumed interpreters will tell you stories.
