In June 2011, the dock was host to the fi rst-ever “Sailing Seaway Clayton” event that drew more than 5,000 people to the river’s edge. The event returns in 2012 with an appearance by the tall ship Fair Jeanne. The Thousand Islands Regional Dock is able to host a wide scale of vessels – from tall ships to yachts, tugboats and cruise ships. The dock and terminal was recently named a 105c-certifi ed Port of Entry by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Coast Guard, allowing Clayton to welcome travelers from across the globe. The dock measures 386 feet long and has more than 25-feet of water just off its edge, allowing for easy access by large vessels.
