Golf carts are the preferred method of transportation on the island and can be rented by the week, day or hour. Biking is a great way to experience the natural beauty of the island along miles of trails that connect you with every part of the resort. If mopeds are your thing, you can do your sightseeing at 25 mph. More robust guests can explore the backwater and creeks that surround the island by kayak or canoe. For rental information call Island Excursions at 843-838-1518. Tennis is a year-round sport here. The Racquet Club offers eight fast-dry clay courts and two hard courts. Finding a game here is never hard, there are many avid tennis players living on the island. Our professional staff offers group clinics and private lessons for players of all levels. Just call 843-838-1504 for court times, instruction and scheduled events. Take a dip in one of the ten pools that are conveniently located throughout the resort. On the north end of the island the Ocean Point pool offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic. The Cabana Club on the southern tip of the island has three pools; an oval shaped pool, a lagoon-style pool that flows through a maze of carved caves and waterfalls, and a children’s pool with a giant frog slide. The Beach Club complex located in the center of the island has an Adult Pool steps away from the beach. An outside bar overlooks the ocean.
