A MASTERPIECE WITH A SIGNATURE TO PROVE IT Upon seeing the pristine canvas on which he would create his masterpiece, Mr. Nicklaus was inspired to comment, “On my first visit to Cordillera Ranch, I knew the course was already out there. The land is so perfectly suited to becoming an exceptional course; I just have to carefully peel away the cover to reveal its potential.” He did exactly that. The course winds through rugged, oak-covered terrain featuring limestone canyon walls and cascading water in rock bottom creeks while preserving the native vegetation that makes the Texas Hill Country so special. Numerous holes and tees offer 25-mile views of the Guadalupe Valley. Bentgrass greens and Zoysia grass fairways create playing surfaces that are second to none. The course plays 7,464 yards from the Bear tees; from 6,816 to 6,197 yards from the middle tees; and 5,028 yards from the forward tees. The driving range, chipping and putting greens, and instructional facilities allow you to fine tune your game. Unique to The Clubs are holes 19 and 20, better known as the “finish the bet holes, ” where you have one last chance to get the match square or just an opportunity for on-course practice. Gorgeous scenery. Challenging play. And the signature of one of golf’s greatest talents. Add it all up and you have one of the most unforgettable courses in the Southwest; a course that is destined to be as legendary as its creator.
