THE FINAL COUNTDOWN BEGINS!!! Producing the annual PERFORMANCE RACING INDUSTRY Trade Show encom-passes thousands of elements all of which are designed to offer outstanding cus-tomer service for all the exhibitors as well as for the thousands of attending buyers. It takes a lot of work by many talented people in our PRI offi ces who are now on the job at full speed for “your” 23rd Annual PERFORMANCE RACING INDUSTRY Trade Show at the beautiful Orange County Convention Center, December 9. It is some-what like launching a rocket, and when the “fi nal countdown” occurs, everyone is ready for ignition and then liftoff. Here we go with our COUNTDOWN: Nine…Our qualifi ed and energized receptionist Ashley Vigil now arrives at the office one half hour early (7:30am PST) to direct the massive amount of incoming calls. Eight…Linda Reedy and Anna Ochoa are making hundreds of outgoing preregis-tration calls contacting retail buyers, engine builders, distributors, professional race teams, performance marine, and car builders. These calls are being made so we can eliminate the long lines on site at the Registration counters and attendees will be able to go directly into the hall without delay. Seven…Editor John Kilroy is working night and day preparing the editorial content for the BIG November Special Show Issue that features all the Exhibitor Listings and will be jammed packed with advertising as well as meaningful, on-target, must-read feature articles. Six…Judy Kean, Francisque Savinien, Reed Morales, Eric Jurado, Jeff Swoboda and Danny Kirby are now working “double time” coordinating the massive project of gathering advertising for the November issue AND continuing to find exhibit locations for companies wanting to exhibit at the PRI Trade Show. Their hard work is paying off as we are proud to feature 85 new exhibitors for the 2010 PRI Trade Show. Five…Our Trade Show Manager Karin Davidson along with the help of Nicole Harless, Tammy Naylor, and Shaylee Ross are hard at work coordinating the impor-tant production elements that include attendee registration, shuttle system (making sure the Bud Beer will be cold), placement of all the directional signage, Exhibitor Reception, management seminars, and Grand Opening Breakfast. Four…Brianne Hawkins and Michelle Gaston have been really on fi re of late han-dling all the incoming requests for reserving hotel rooms and to make sure our exhib-itors and attendees are well taken care of. The new lower rates offered by all the hotels have stimulated a ton of calls and requests for rooms. Three…Creative Director Rob Hiner has been doing double duty lately as he is making sure the BIG November Show Issue will be put together and printed on time. Rob, and Ken Charity, are coordinating the technical aspect of the Map Your Show virtual floorplan at www.performanceracing.com, which allows attendees to go online to the PRI fl oorplan and be able to plan their shopping tour of the Show. Two…Arianna Maugeri, Juliana Schmode and Francisque Savinien are prepar-ing for another strong contingent of international buyers from 67 countries. Our International Lounge will again be open for business all three show days. One…Everyone is working in synchronized fashion to make sure ALL the elements will be in place for the thousands of attendees when the doors open at the Orange County Convention Center at 9:30 a.m. on December 9th.
