JOIN A COMMITTEE: memBeRship Dan Puccio dpuccio@stonetechonline.com Shawn McCadden, CR/CLC Goverment Affairs Committee chairper -son Roger Gallagher of Gallagher Remodeling, Inc has recruited Mark Paskell of The Contractor Coaching Partnership, Andrea Goldman of The Law Office of Andrea Goldman and me to join the committee. Any other EM NARI Members interested in joining the committee should con-tact Roger. The committee is seek-ing members to serve as liaisons to the BBRS and NARI National. The committee met on December 1, 2010 to discuss its efforts for 2011. We will strive to keep members informed about important issues and will also be selecting a couple of areas to focus on this year that we hope will have direct benefit to our members. Recently, Mark and I attended a hear-ing held by the MA Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development. Interested parties were invited to provide suggestions regarding how the money appropriated to the Department of Labor and the Division of Occupational Safety should be spent in Fiscal Year 2012. We stressed the need to enforce the RRP rule to help level the playing field for legitimate remodelers, protect con-sumers from lead poisoning and help eliminate those businesses operating in the underground economy. As a result of the hearing, George Noel from the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development attended the January Board of Directors meeting to inform the board about the state’s Joint Task Force to address the underground economy. The committee plans to work with George and the task force to protect the interests of NARI members. pUBlic Relations Glenn Travis gmthomedesigns@msn.com pRoGRams Kevin Lister, CRA klister@paradigmstrategies.com edUcation Stephen Doucet, CR, CKBR, CLC Stephen@doucetremodeling.com coty awaRds Danielle Jones Kdanielle.jones@snowandjones.com WELCOME NEW MEMBERS: Michael Gelb MGZ Design and Construction, Inc.
