NISSAN NV REVIEW Nissan Canada Inc., showed its new commer-cial van, the 2012 NV (Nissan Van) in Miami, Florida. Nissan used the occasion to donate a sum of $35,000 to the local Habitat for Humanity to purchase building supplies. The supplies were picked-up at a local building supply store and delivered to the Habitat site by journalists driv-ing the NVs. The press preview also included a presentation detailing Nissan’s future plans for the commer-cial van vehicle segment, a business update, and an overview of the launch plan for the NV. “Looking at the CV market in recent years, there’s been a migration of van users to light-duty pickups due to the lack of comfort, image and dependability of the current outdated van platforms, said Joe Castelli, Vice-President, Commercial Vehicles and Fleet, Nissan North America, Inc. Yet many of these truck owners admit they need a van for weather protection, security and the convenience of a tall roof van to carry large items or equipment. With the Nissan NV, we’re giving them the best of both worlds.” nissan 2012 nV Aims to deliver Nissan’s NV will be available in spring 2011 in several configurations.
