UPdate 2 (Continued from Page 1) By having so many experts at hand right away, we offer the top-quality care that produces positive patient outcomes. – Hung Winn, MD, JD, MBA, chair of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Women’s Health Women’s Health Center Located in Women’s and Children’s Hospital, the Women’s Health Center offers health care for women throughout every stage of life with obstetric and gynecologic experts who specialize in numerous disciplines. “Physicians can refer patients to us with confidence we can take care of their needs,” said Hung Winn, MD, JD, MBA, the David G. Hall Professor and chair of the Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Women’s Health. “We have all the well-trained experts to provide consultation and treatment. In addition to providing general obstetrical and gynecological Family Birth Center rooms care, our physicians include experts in numerous subspecialties, including fertility, high-risk pregnancy, gynecologic cancer and female continence.” Because it is located at Women’s and Children’s Hospital, the Women’s Health Center offers patients seamless care as their health needs change. For example, if a general obstetrics patient at Missouri OB/GYN Associates shows indications of a high-risk pregnancy, she can see a maternal-fetal medicine specialist on the same hospital campus. If that patient needs to be admitted to the hospital, she is already there. And if a baby born in the Family Birth Center needs critical care, he or she is steps away from the Children’s Hospital neonatal intensive care unit. “By having so many experts at hand right away, we offer the top-quality care that produces positive patient outcomes,” Winn said.
