News & Notes Local LGBTQIA+ Author Holds Free Book Talk This month Rebecca Brown, Seattle-based lesbian author, published her latest book, You Tell the Stories You Need to Believe . August Event to Focus on Support of Queer Students in K–12 Classrooms Mark your calendars for August 22 for the next edition of Seattle Pride’s Pride Speaks —a series of community conversations with expert panelists and speakers on a wide variety of topics of interest to the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond. This August, Pride Speaks will focus on support for K-12 queer students, featuring a panel discussion and audience Q&A. Past topics have included the mental health of those in the LGBTQIA+ community, chosen families, and barriers to business.
