ACC NEWS Continue ACC’s Tradition by Renewing Your Membership he College’s 14 founding members in 1949 might have found it hard to imagine the nearly 40,000 scientists, educators, clinicians and allied professionals that make up the American College of Cardiology (ACC) today. This growth has been particularly strong over the past three years, with domestic membership growing 6 percent and International membership soaring 20 percent during this time. Cardiac Care Associate membership has grown 16 percent since 2008, while Practice Administrator membership has increased 235 percent since it was introduced in 2009. In an effort to even further foster the professional growth of the entire cardiovascular care team, the ACC has begun a new membership category: Partners in Care. This category is open to cardiovascular technologists including sonographers, electrophysiology specialists, invasive specialists and vascular specialists. Learn more about the Partners in Care membership at CardioSource.org/PIC . The growth in membership allows for great opportunities to globally improve the quality of cardiovascular care and achieve the College’s mission. Continue the ACC tradition by renewing your membership by Dec. 9. Members who pay by Oct. 31 are eligible to win free membership for 2013. Visit CardioSource.org/Dues for details on membership dues.
